"Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the New Castle of the Undersea Devil"
Hirai Airi has been appointed as the promotional ambassador!
While showing versatile activities as a talent, Hirai Airi, who is now expanding her range of activities as a mother of four, has been appointed as the promotional ambassador for "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the New Castle of the Undersea Devil".
Furthermore, she will make her first appearance as a guest voice actor in "Doraemon the Movie"!
Hirai Airi will be making her first attempt as a voice actor in an anime work, playing the role of a soldier from an underwater civilization who pursues Doraemon and the others!
This is her first time trying her hand at voice acting in an anime work. Ms. Airi revealed that she was conscious of how she spoke to her children in preparation for playing the role of a soldier from an underwater civilization who pursues Doraemon and the others, saying, "After learning I would be playing a soldier, I've been speaking to my children in command form. At first, my children would say, 'Mom's changed characters!' But my morning preparations became faster than usual, and I became more agile instead of my usual sluggishness. Thanks to the role, my home life has become smoother (laugh)." It seems the habit didn't go away even after the recording session, as she shared family anecdotes: "In front of my husband (professional soccer player Yuto Nagatomo), I didn't speak in a soldier's tone, but it became a habit (laugh). When my husband was around, I accidentally said 'Return to your posts!' to my children, and I think he probably thought I was angry (laugh). I haven't told them about the character I'm playing yet. I'm planning to tell them after the movie is released that the practice was for dubbing, so we're still not on the same page (laugh)."
Furthermore, when asked in an interview, "If you were to compare yourself to a Doraemon character," she commented from a mother's perspective: "It would be ideal to be like Shizuka. But in the end, my children ask me 'Mom, where is that thing?' and I prepare everything myself, so I sometimes think I might be more like Doraemon (laugh)." When asked, "What would you do if you could spend a day with Doraemon?", she replied: "I've always wanted something from Doraemon's collection of Gadgets - the 'X-ray Telescope' (a telescope that lets you see through walls)! I want to peek at my children after they enter school and see what they're up to (laugh)."

Hirai Airi (Promotional Ambassador / Soldier Role) Comments
When I received a call from my manager, I was so surprised that time seemed to stop! "What!? Me!?" I couldn't believe it, I was truly happy. My children were with me at the time, so when I told them, "I've been cast in Doraemon the Movie!", they happily said, "Mom's appearing with Doraemon? That's amazing!" I selfishly think that maybe my children attracted this opportunity because my second son sleeps just like Nobita (laugh).
When I told my husband, he said, "What role? Doraemon? Nobita?" and I thought once again that he's so carefree (laugh).
I felt like I had entered the world of Doraemon myself, and it was such a precious experience! Please be sure to see it in theaters!
