Hirako Yuki
When I was an elementary student, I don't know how many times I would tightly close my eyes and quietly open my desk drawer, praying, "Let me connect to the world of Doraemon!!" This time, my dream from back then has finally come true.
In my life, have I ever thought about providing a voice for a "Doraemon the Movie"? (laughs) As long as I can remember, Doraemon was there, and before I knew it, I was watching Doraemon, and now I'm here to work on this... Until I actually heard my own voice flowing in the theater, I still feel like it's a dream, or perhaps I think it's some kind of prank.
After moving to Tokyo, my parents would hide Doraemon merchandise in the money they sent me. From childhood to the present, it has always been by my side, a presence that has become my emotional support.
At my first dubbing session, of course I was technically overwhelmed, but I also felt an invisible pressure from standing at the production site of Doraemon, who has been with me since birth. Thanks to that pressure, I truly realized how difficult this is. It was both moving and profound.
The content is truly full of romance, and it's a work that everyone from small children to adults can enjoy.
Please be sure to watch it on the big screen.
Sakai Kenta
I'm appearing as a guest voice actor in "New Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil". I still feel a bit floaty (laughs)
Since I was a child, I've had so much Doraemon merchandise! I never thought I would get to meet Doraemon, so this is the happiest I've been among all the seniors I've met (laughs)
The first "Doraemon the Movie" I saw in a theater was "Nobita and the Animal Planet," released in 1990. To get movie novelties, I went to see the same movie about 10 times. I'm overwhelmed with emotion to be participating in "Doraemon the Movie" as a voice actor, a series I've been familiar with since childhood.
At the dubbing session, there was a sense of pressure in the studio, and when I thought about how voice actors work in such an environment, I became even more nervous. While being taught step-by-step by Kakazuumi-san, who plays the role of Shizuka, I think I was able to produce a voice beyond my own capabilities!
Please enjoy it at the theater!
