'Aim to be the King of Stealing Bases'
At Suneo's house, Nobita and the others were watching the Baseball World Championships and were overjoyed by Japan's victory. Especially impressed by the success of stealing bases, Big G declared, "Today's game will be won with feet!" and got all fired up.
Then the game began, and Nobita unusually reached base on a walk, but due to his slow feet, he couldn't make it to second base and was caught in a double play. While glancing at the news about a painting worth several billion yen, Nobita was working on his summer homework, a "drawing." As he lamented that he couldn't draw well, suddenly a hole opened in the ceiling of his room, and what looked like a piece of the painting fell down, surprising him!
Afterward, using Gadgets' "Entrance Light," Doraemon and Nobita entered the painting and met a mysterious girl named Claire. Accepting her request, they headed for the "Arturia Principality," and to their surprise, it was a medieval European world depicted in the painting that had been in the news!
It seemed that in that world, there was a phantom gem called "Arturia Blue" sleeping somewhere. As Doraemon and the others tried to uncover the mystery of the gem, the legend of "World Destruction" that had been passed down in the Arturia Principality was revived, putting them in a major pinch!!
