The "Fujiko F. Fujio Museum in Kawasaki City" surpassed 2 million total visitors since its opening today, October 14, 2015. We are filled with gratitude, as this achievement is solely due to the continued patronage of all our visitors.
The commemorative 2 millionth visitors were the Hayashi family, who traveled from Narashino City, Chiba Prefecture: Kei Hayashi (34), Mariko (33), Sota-kun (6), and Momoka-chan (1).

"We were lining up at the entrance when we were told we were the 2 millionth visitors... I was surprised!" said the father.
"Tomorrow is Momoka's birthday. We came to the museum for the first time today to celebrate it," said the mother, looking very delighted.
"I want to play with Doraemon!" said Momoka-chan.
"I want to use the Small Light to shrink down. And then I want to use the Anywhere Door to visit Grandma's house!" said Sota-kun. He also secretly shared, "I love Kiteretsu, too!"
Congratulations to everyone.
During the ceremony, Director Okura presented commemorative original goods, including a 1/2 size Doraemon figure and replica original drawings.
■ Comment from Director Okura
"I am extremely delighted that we have been able to welcome 2 million visitors in the four years since the museum opened. I believe this is all thanks to the power of Mr. Fujiko・F・Fujio."
"The tremendous power held by works like 'Doraemon,' and the feelings that Mr. Fujiko conveyed to readers through his work, are still strongly received today, keeping his legacy alive. Furthermore, the number of visitors from overseas is increasing every year, which reaffirms the global appeal of his works."
"A major goal of the museum is to securely collect and preserve the precious original drawings left by Mr. Fujiko and pass them on to the future. At the same time, we hope to convey his appeal to people around the world through various special exhibitions."
"On December 1st, the 'Takaoka City Fujiko・F・Fujio Hometown Gallery' will open in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, the birthplace of Mr. Fujiko. We ask for your continued support for both the Fujiko Museum and the new Gallery."
